FirstSpark ("the Service") is an independent product operated by its individual developer. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

2. Information we collect
You provide:
- Account information: email address (via our authentication provider, Clerk).
- Birth information: birth date, time, and place. This is used to calculate your BaZi chart and is sensitive information (see Section 6).
- Name or nickname for saved charts (optional).
- Content you generate or save within the Service.
- Payment is handled by our payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
Collected automatically:
- Usage data, device and browser information, IP address, and approximate region.
- Error and performance data, to keep the Service reliable.
3. How we use your information
- To calculate your chart and generate readings;
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To process purchases and apply Credits;
- To respond to support and refund requests;
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues;
- To comply with legal obligations.

5. Where your data is processed
Depending on the domain you use, data may be processed in the United States (myfirstspark.ai) or Singapore (firstspark.com.cn). AI generation may involve providers located outside your country. By using the Service you understand that your data may be transferred and processed internationally, with safeguards appropriate to each region.
6. Sensitive information
Your birth date, time, and place are used solely to calculate your chart and generate readings. We treat this as sensitive information and process it based on your consent, which you give by entering it and using the feature. You may delete saved charts at any time.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete a chart or your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data, except where retention is required by law (e.g. transaction records).
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, scoped database permissions) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected].
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted with an updated date.
